GHD Group asked Crackerjack to arrange a 4-day conference, for GHD staff from all over the world. The programme had to showcase Auckland and NZ for the international delegates, leaving a taste of the best Auckland had to offer.
The Hilton Waterfront was selected as the venue for the high energy conference, consisting of 4 days of presentation, interspersed with break out and team building sessions, guest key note speakers, food and beverage.
The social programme included a Powhiri, Hangi and kapa haka performance on the Orakei Marae; Match Racing on the Hauraki Gulf on previous America’s Cup boats; a black tie themed dinner at the Auckland Museum Events Centre; and golf at the Gulf Harbour Golf Course.
A Partners Programme included showing off Auckland’s distinctive West Coast, unique attractions as well as shopping excursions.
Conference Goody Bags were a selection of New Zealand produce and arts. Travel, transfers and accommodation for attendees were arranged too.
Crackerjack had notice of an impromptu fireworks display in the Auckland Domain, the same night as the black tie event, which it was able to incorporate in its own event, to deliver the climax for the evening.
By all accounts, this was a conference the GHD delegates would not soon forget.
